Postdoctoral Fellowships in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora Studies, 2022-2023
The Center for the Humanities at Tufts University, in partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, invites applications for a one-year humanities postdoctoral fellowship in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora Studies, beginning July 1, 2022. The fellow will teach two courses within the Latinx and/or Asian American Studies curriculum, be active in programming, and participate in the vibrant community of scholars at the Center for the Humanities. The selected fellow is expected to engage in original research and contribute to the intellectual life of the university. The fellow will be mentored by senior faculty and have access to professional development and other resources on campus including the opportunity to hold a manuscript workshop. Applicants in all areas of the humanities will be considered. We especially welcome candidates with training in ethnic studies or related fields whose areas of expertise complement the curriculum in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora Studies at Tufts.
The fellow will receive a stipend of $63,435. They will be eligible for Tufts University health benefits, and will have a workspace at or within proximity to the Center for the Humanities at Tufts.
Ph.D. in Ethnic Studies, American Studies, or related field with strong interdisciplinary research and teaching credentials preferred. The successful applicant will have been awarded their PhD degree before beginning the appointment and no earlier than 2019.
