What impact do you want to have with your art?
Through my art work I would like to invite people to find their own interpretation of the positivity materialized in my canvases.

Born in Quito, Ecuador, I grew up loving nature. My fascination for expending most of my time outdoors climbing trees, playing with flowers and carefully observing the nature around, made me be aware of the color, the shapes and the shadows created everywhere. Since I can remember, drawing and painting have always captured my attention. Attending a Catholic School gave me the opportunity to start developing my natural skills. Even though I graduated from a Business school, my desire to paint was always in my heart. I earned a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, and an Engineering Degree in Finances; but as soon as I moved to United States in 2006 I became a full time housewife. However, this opportunity allowed me to fulfill my other dream: become an artist. Since 2012, I am attending Glassell School of Art, with a focus in painting. As an artist my desire is to give people the opportunity to create their own interpretation of my work. As part of my journey I had the opportunity to be one of the founding members of Latinamerican Women Artists, Houston (LAWAH), a group of Latin Ladies with whom I share the desire to succeed as an artist.

Artists Biography

A canvas and a brush are my allies in the search of my creativity. I grew up admiring and loving art, always passionate about drawing and painting from a young age.

Surrounded by nature, I found my motivation in the light, the color and the shapes created around me. In each canvas I materialize what I see and what I feel. Through my color choice and each brush stroke reality is transferred to a canvas. The image created can be seen and be felt by the audience, leading them to create their own interpretation of my work.

My process of building each color allows me to create an atmosphere linked to the images represented in each painting. The light is always present in my works as a reminder that there is always a way to follow my dreams.

I have learned to know color, and although I have a long way to go, the emotion that art sparks in me leads me to fulfill my dream: show my deepest feelings and what my eyes see through my paintings.
