Making Mexican Chicago-From Postwar Settlement to the Age of Gentrification

Mike Amezcua, Assistant Professor, History, Georgetown University, is an expert in the study of history and Latinx Studies, with a focus on modern U.S. history, Latinx history, metropolitan studies, immigration and political culture.  Dr. Amezcua’s lecture will involve a discussion on his forthcoming book “Making Mexican Chicago: From Postwar Settlement to the Age of Gentrification,” published by the University of Chicago Press in the Historical Studies of Urban America series.
