Siglo XXI

Founded in 1983, IUPLR is dedicated to the advancement of the Latino intellectual presence in the United States. IUPLR works to expand the pool of Latino scholars and leaders and increases the availability of policy-relevant Latino-focused research by promoting comparative, interdisciplinary, and policy-focused research; and developing collaborative national programs that support Latino students. Established in 2005, the biennial Siglo XXI Conference is the leading national forum for the examination of research, trends and developments in the field of Latino Studies bringing together faculty, scholars, researchers, and graduate students to explore the impact of national issues on the Latino/Hispanic populations and the broader society and to shed light into their current state in the United States.
