Two Biennial Conferences: IUPLR members have the opportunity to host one of IUPLR’s two flagship biennial conferences (Siglo XXI, the premier national forum for Latino Studies research, or Latino Art Now!, which convenes artists, scholars, and cultural leaders to examine emerging trends, institutional practices, and the evolving landscape of Latino arts and cultural production.) IUPLR provides financial support for hosting, creating a significant opportunity for institutional visibility and partnership-building at the local and national levels.
Working Groups: IUPLR supports cross-institutional working groups to advance research initiatives, with up to $25,000 in IUPLR support.
Institutional Collaboration: We provide the platform to partner with member institutions on joint research initiatives and to pursue external funding collaboratively, which makes proposals more competitive due to multi-site U.S. representation and engagement with diverse regional populations.
